Nestled in the glorious Essex countryside, just a short drive from London, lies Baddow Park House. A stunning private wedding venue ideal for your special day. This historic wedding venue, located in the heart of Essex, combines timeless elegance along with modern comforts, therefore making it the perfect venue for couples seeking a blend of tradition and luxury.
Lucy and Ronnie wanted a classic black-tie wedding, with an abundance of romance, candles and a sea of white flower heaven. Harriette, Manager at Stock Florist, was the lead on this wedding and she loved seeing their journey from start to finish. Like most black-tie weddings, the vibe was sleek and classic, which we achieved by using the monochromatic colour scheme through the all-white wedding flowers.

Lucy’s bridal bouquet was a traditional, classic and romantic shower bouquet made from a mix of phalaenopsis orchids, hydrangeas, roses, spray roses, gypsophila, Lisianthus that was softened by Soft Ruscus and eucalyptus. Her dress was simply stunning, as was the bride of course, so naturally Harriette crafted a bouquet that had to live up to Lucy’s dream bridal bouquet. Lucy’s reaction to seeing her bouquet on the morning of the wedding was what every florist hopes for: tears of joy and love for her bouquet! This was Harriette’s favourite part of the day, getting to see the bride in the morning before that all important walk down the aisle.

If you’re wanting a traditional and timeless bouquet, that not only suits black-tie weddings but every style of wedding, then you can’t go wrong with a bouquet such as this.
And if you look close enough, you may just be able to spot the one red rose at the top of the bouquet. Lucy wanted to include the one red Naomi rose as Ronnie would come home with one red rose just for her, so it was a really special little nod to that tradition of theirs.

For her bridesmaids and flower girls, we made beautiful all-round posies that included gypsophila and white Playa Blanca roses. These bridesmaid bouquets looked fabulous against their mint embellished bridesmaids’ bouquets as the gypsophila mimicked all the detailing in the bodices.
By having a different style of bridesmaid bouquet bouquet to the bridal, it allows for the bridal bouquet to stand out against them. Gypsophila is also the most budget friendly option so with the addition of the roses, it’s a sleek and simple but effective design, especially for a black-tie wedding theme.

The eldest flower girl held a similar, slightly smaller bouquet to the adult bridesmaid and the two younger flower girls had white petal confetti in wicker baskets to scatter down the aisle. Gypsophila flower crowns decorated all their hair, a lovely way to style little girls’ hair as they are so lightweight!
The buttonholes were a mix of white Lisianthus and gypsophila, a great option as they last well out of water throughout the whole day.
We arrived at the beautiful St Andrew’s Church to decorate the magnificent, flower heavy arch. It created the perfect first impression for their black-tie wedding, a sleek and classic but endlessly beautiful, all-white archway that the team made at the church and then transported back to Baddow Park House after the ceremony. The scent and visual impact as guests entered the church from the flowers was a perfect way to start the celebrations for their black-tie wedding! Inside at Baddow Park, we decorated the staircase banister with matching, all-white flowers and candles at the base of the steps that had sprinkled petals around. Totally gorgeous and made Lucy’s first look with her family in the main reception room that more special. The photo opportunities by decorating the banister are a great spot in any venue, but especially at Baddow Park House. As you can see, the photo shot at Lucy and Ronnie’s black-tie wedding is simply swoon-worthy and made for the most magical moment not only for the bride and groom, but for all the guests and family entering the venue.

Upon entering The Orangery at Baddow Park House, Lucy and Ronnie were truly over the moon with what we had achieved. Harriette said all the months of planning and hard work behind the scenes was made worth it just to see them look so overjoyed! We think you will agree that no expense or detail was spared to create such a dreamy, white heaven for this sleek and class black-tie wedding!

The banquet tables were bedecked in a foliage and white flower runner, with twinkly tapered candles that ran down to show stopping floor meadows at the ends of the tables. The scattered petals and church candles were the same design as the staircase which was a lovely touch to keep the consistency of the floral arrangements throughout the wedding day. Behind the top table, which had a fuller and lusher version of the guest table runners and candles, stood a heavily floral hoop with a LED sign displaying the couple’s married name. This was so much fun to decorate and just brought the whole room together, making the perfect backdrop for the perfect couple!
